Amberlea Homestead & Cottage is a peaceful escape, nestled on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Mongarlowe. Just 10 minutes from the historic town of Braidwood in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. With 30 acres of tranquil farmland this family-friendly property offers a truly unique experience. Unwind in the spacious homestead and the adjacent charming studio cottage. Enjoy a range of activities including a golf driving range, darts in the games room or simply relax in the garden art studio and escape the hustle and bustle.
THE HOMESTEAD
  • If you do need to some work there is quiet workspace and the property features Starlink high speed wifi.
    Amberlea Homestead is a blend of rustic charm with tasteful, modern furniture creating a stylish hunting lodge atmosphere with wide open spaces, a huge stone open fireplace (firewood provided), a large open country kitchen and quality appliances and finishes throughout.
    A cosy reading nook also offers a fold out double sofa bed for additional guests.
    The Cottage
The charming self contained cottage is the perfect retreat for in-laws, grandparents or older kids looking for their own private space. Seperate from the main homestead, it offers comfort and independence whilst being only 20 metres to the main homestead and very much part of the Amberlea experience.

ACTIVITIES

Golf Driving Range
A 2 hole golf driving range is fun for all the family. Both right & left handed golf sticks are provided along with a bucket of balls and tees.
Garden Art Studio
A sunlit haven filled with artistic touches and unique trinkets. Whether you're seeking inspiration or a quiet spot to read and relax, this space is perfect for moments of peace and creativity.
Games Room
Loads of fun to have in the games room which is attached to the barn, complete with lots of board games, additional TV, darts, a foosball table and even a rustic bar for some fun nights.

Fresh Herbs

Potting Shed
Fresh herbs ( basil, mint, chives. oregano ) in the potting shed and rasberries (seasonal) in the berry garden.

Fresh Eggs

Fresh eggs every morning from the chooks. They always appreciate some feed from grain provided. A great activity for the kids.

There is always a spectacular array of wild birds, encouraged by the seed provided for the various bird feeders around the property, you might even spot the very rare scarlet robin.

Is the booking for the whole property?

YES - when you make a booking it is for the whole property which includes the Homestead & Cottage and all the areas mentioned in activities. The owners are not onsite but can be contacted at anytime.

How many people can be accommodated ?

The property can sleep a maximum of 8 people. The Homestead has a queen bed in the master bedroom and 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom. There is also a fold out double bed in a nook off the living room which can be curtained off. The cottage has a queen bed. In addition we can provide an additional junior single bed in either the Homestead or the Cottage as well as cots and high chairs for infants.
